CHRISTMAS 2012

Christmas was so much fun this year. We headed to richfield on the Friday before and we stayed until the day after. The day after, we headed to Las Vegas to celebrate with Austin's family. While we were in richfield, we took Camden and his cousins sledding, ate lots of goodies, did our last minute shopping, played in the snow, and went on lots of christmas rides. Santa found camden and he was so glad. He got a slide/climber thing, a power wheel 4 wheeler and lots of other stuff. He has a lot of people who love him so he gets extra spoiled on christmas. I couldn't imagine the holidays without our little guy. I am thankful for him and our families we have to celebrate with!

19 MONTHS

Well, my little Camden is now 19 months old. I can't believe it. He is a little toddler and is so much fun. I love that he has his own little personality and is starting to talk. He's definitely not in the best talker but he's improving. :) We had a blast with him over the holidays and we feel so blessed to have him in our lives.

At 19 months Camden:

• can say dad, mom, dog, ball, hi, bye, please (pees), binky, baba (which he calls every drink), banana (nana), lets go, football, ouch, uh oh, eyes, Lou
• understands almost everything we tell him.
• only has one bottle a day now and it's actually during the night. We are working on getting rid of it.
• loves his dad so much and hates when he is gone.
• is super busy and runs around in circles, jumps off the couch, loves to play in the backyard, is constantly going.
• LOVES balls... footballs, soccer balls, basketball, any type! He's definitely Austins kid. :)
• his favorite food is strawberries and easy mac.
• knows where his eyes, teeth, ears, hair, and nose are.
• knows what noise kitties, dogs, ducks, and cows make. He knows what Santa says.
• his favorite movie is Arthur Christmas and we have literally watched it probably 20 times.
• is obsessed with his blanket. He has to have it everywhere we go and hates when it gets washed.
• - he is also attached to his binky. I don't want to even think about getting rid of that thing haha but sooner or later, it will be gone!!
• has just started to sit through movies and cartoons. he loves Mickey Mouse clubhouse.
• is TERRIBLE at restaurants, shopping and church.
• loves to play at the gym daycare.
• loves to go to Richfield to play with all his cousins, grandparents and of course Lou!
• his very favorite person might be my nephew, Jackson. :)
• he tries to say "where are you" but it is not clear, ha! When he is looking for his binky he says, "binky... where are you?"
• can jump and he thinks he's pretty cool when he does it.
• loves the hot tub and is NOT scared of the water. he will just jump right in.

We are lucky to have such a cute little guy.

DECEMBER

I know I haven't posted since August, but I think it'll be to hard to get caught up so I'm just gonna start with December. We have been super busy this month with lots of traveling. Austin has been working out of town so I usually head to Richfield while he's gone. So, Camden has been getting A LOT of cousin time. :) He sure loves his cousins, especially Jackson! During our stay in Richfield we went to Christmas tree lane, the lights parade and went to see Santa. He was NOT a fan of Santa ha ha! Also, this last weekend my sisters (minus Hollie, who had to work), mom and I all went up to temple square and stayed the night. We went to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas program, shopped and City Creek & had SO much fun. We just had a Christmas party with our friends and went shopping for a family in need. We have loved this Christmas season and are so excited to see what Santa brings Camden. :) Merry Christmas everyone!

CHICAGO

The last part of July we headed to Chicago for a quick visit since we were not very far away! We stayed right by the magnificent mile, went to the Cubs vs Cardinals game at wriggly field, had too much amazing pizza, went on a night tour of the river that runs through the city and lake Michigan, went to the Shedd Aquarium, went shopping, and went to navy pier! We had a blast and we all loved Chicago!

INDIANAPOLIS

This summer for Austins work, we headed to Indianapolis. Of course the only summer we're there, they break all sorts of records for high temperatures. It was the hottest summer in Indianapolis history. Not only was it hot, but it was dry. Really dry. They also broke the record for the driest month of June and they are in a serious drought. In other words it was one HOT and DRY summer but we still had a lot of fun. Camden and I kept ourselves busy with the other wives and kids. We had fun but we are sure glad to be back home with family! Here is a summary of what we did:

We went to the Pacers vs Heat basketball game:

We did a Vivint service project:

 We spent A LOT of days at the pool:

 We went to the Indy 500 and the Indy 500 parade:

We went to a fun lake:

 We witnessed all the grass and everything green die :(

 We celebrated the 4th of July:

 We went to the White River State Park:

We will miss Indiana but not the weather! Overall, it was a great summer & we had a blast!!

CAMDEN AT 1 YEAR

So, in my last post I talked about Camden's parties but I didn't talk about what he's up to. At 12 months, Camden:

- LOVES fruit.. any time & any kind! I have a hard time getting him to eat other foods.
- He always grunts some noise and waves hi & bye.
- If I ask him where anything is, he holds his hands out and shrugs his shoulders like he is implying that he does not know.
- He points to things he wants or people he wants to hold him.
- He sleeps about 8 hours in the night (but still wakes up once during that time) and takes two naps that are both 2 hours.
- When I pick him up when hes sad, he'll pat my back while i hold him.
- He never sits still & he thinks he can just keep up with all the big kids.
- He can't drink out of a sippy cup. He can only drink out of drinks with straws. After he takes a sip from a drink with a straw, he says "ahhh". So refreshing, right? haha
- He has started walking. He still falls alot but he is getting so good. I actually like it alot more then crawling because before he would crawl so fast on anything (cement, dirt, the road) and now he can just go where he wants without hurting his knees.
- He LOVES balls. He will tote a ball around all day long and he loves anyone who will toss it back and forth with him.
- He says mamamama & dadadada
- He loves to wear sunglasses and hats. I think he has realized that they keep the sun off of him.
- He loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse & dances at the songs.
- He has eight teeth.. four on the top & four on the bottom.
- He loves to empty things from one back or box and put them into something else.
- Wears size 4 diapers and 12-18 month clothes.
- He is not scared of anyone!! When I drop him off at the gym day care, he reaches for the worker and turns and waves goodbye to me.
- He is such a happy baby. He is always smiling and making our lives so much better.

Indiana is going well for us but, we do miss home and all of our family and friends. I can't wait for Camden to see his cousins again. He will be SO excited. My next post I will post about what we have been doing out here.
